Pleexy creates tasks in your Todoist from to-do items in your OneNote notes. Pleexy can group all the to-dos from one notebook under parent tasks and automatically complete OneNote to-dos when you complete tasks in your Todoist.
After you connect OneNote as a source service, you can customize your OneNote and Todoist integration exactly the way you want. First, navigate to the page where you can change settings:
If you use OneNote in a browser, then the Todoist extension can make this much easier and utilize the browser link rather than a native OneNote link (no inline link though this way). You really have to know how to make a link as a task, so look into that. With our OneNote-Todoist integration, tasks are automatically created in your Todoist account from your to-do items in OneNote.
From the Pleexy dashboard, inside the OneNote card, click Details.
Click Edit settings.
On this page, you can customize the connection's name. You can also adjust the settings for Source, Destination, Tasks, and Actions. Let’s walk through your options for each.
Source settings
This Todoist-OneNote integration could be the answer to your needs. Source settings let you configure how Pleexy searches for notes in OneNote. You can filter notes by notebook, section, type, and last update.
Notebooks: Click the drop-down menu to select which OneNote notebooks Pleexy should search. If you don’t select specific notebooks, Pleexy will search all notebooks.
Sections: Click the drop-down menu to select which OneNote notebook sections Pleexy should search. If you don’t select specific sections, Pleexy will search all sections in the specified notebooks.
Types: Click the drop-down menu to select which note types Pleexy should search. Again, if you don’t select specific types, Pleexy will include all note types in the specified notebooks and sections.Available types include:To DoDiscuss with personDiscuss with managerTo Do Priority 1To Do Priority 2Client requestSchedule meeting/Call back
Last update: If you want Pleexy to ignore OneNote notes that you consider out-of-date, no problem! For example, if you enter ‘30,’ Pleexy will ignore OneNote notes that haven’t been updated in the last 30 days.
Pleexy combines your settings for these four filters. For example, if you select the notebook Class To-Dos, select all sections, specify the types To Do Priority 1 and To Do Priority 2, and enter 30 days, Pleexy will search for notes that meet all three requirements:
Located in Class To-Dos notebook
Integrate Todoist And Onenote
+ Located in any notebook section
+ Type is To Do Priority 1 or To Do Priority 2
+ Updated less than 30 days ago
Destination settings
Destination settings define how Pleexy creates tasks in your Todoist. You have two destination options:
Create all tasks in one project: Create tasks from all OneNote notes in the same Todoist project. Click the drop-down menu to select the Todoist project to use.
Note: If you want Pleexy to create tasks in a new Todoist project, log in to your Todoist and create the new project there. Back in your Pleexy settings, in the project drop-down menu, click Refresh to update the list of projects.Use an individual project for each notebook: Create tasks from each OneNote notebook in a different Todoist project. Click the drop-down menu to select the root Todoist project to use. Pleexy will create individual projects within the root project you select for the tasks from each OneNote notebook.
Note: If a project with the same name already exists in the root project you select, Pleexy will use it instead of creating a new project. This way, Pleexy can combine tasks from different source services in the same project. For example, Pleexy will create tasks from a “Development” notebook in OneNote and a “Development” board in Trello in a single root project.
Task settings
In the Task settings, you can specify how Pleexy creates, names, and synchronizes tasks and task attributes.
Under Task title template, use macros to customize how Pleexy names your tasks. For OneNote integrations, five elements are available for task names: {notebook}, {section}, {page}, {todo}, and {todo_type}.
As you change your task title template, Pleexy shows how your changes will look in a live example under the template field. You can combine the macro elements however you want, as long as you get the formatting correct. Here are some ideas:

Note: If you manually edit a task title in Todoist, Pleexy won’t update or change your edited title.
You can also toggle-on the Create grouping task for each note option. If you select this option, Pleexy lists all todos for each notebook, section, and page under a single parent task. For example:

Actions settings let you control what Pleexy will do when you change, complete, or delete tasks in OneNote or Todoist—both sides of the integration!
First, tell Pleexy what should happen in Todoist when you delete a to-do in OneNote. Click the drop-down to select one option:
Delete corresponding task: Pleexy will delete the corresponding task in Todoist
Do not touch task: Pleexy will leave the corresponding task in Todoist
Second, specify what should happen in Todoist when you complete a to-do in OneNote. Click the drop-down menu to select one option:
Complete task: Pleexy will mark the corresponding task as complete in Todoist
Do not touch task: Pleexy will not mark the corresponding task as complete in Todoist
Third, tell Pleexy what should happen in OneNote when you complete a task in Todoist. Click the drop-down menu to select one option:
